Factory-direct windows for Utah homes.
Utah Factory Direct is a Utah company that helps homeowners get factory-direct window pricing by connecting them with established, licensed installers. We take your request, confirm the details, and schedule the measure. The licensed installer does the work and gives you the price.
A measure technician comes to your house, confirms whether your windows qualify, measures from the outside, and shows you options. The measure and the quote cost nothing and carry no obligation.
Straight answer
What Utah Factory Direct does, and what it does not do
We are a broker and a coordinator. We do the shopping so you do not have to. Being clear about that up front is the point of this page.
What we do
- Take your information and confirm the basics about your home and your windows
- Schedule the measure appointment at a time that works for you
- Pass your quote request to an established, licensed installer that works in your county
- Stay reachable if something about the appointment needs to change
What we do not do
- We do not manufacture windows
- We do not install windows
- We are not a licensed contractor and we do not hold a contractor license
- We do not set your price. The licensed installer quotes the job
- You do not sign an installation contract with us. Any contract for the work is between you and the licensed installer
The name, explained
What factory direct means
A replacement window usually passes through several hands before it reaches a house. A manufacturer builds it. A distributor moves it. A retailer sells it. A separate contractor installs it. Each of those is its own business, and each adds its own margin to the same window.
Factory direct removes the stops in the middle. The window is built at the factory and goes to your home, and the licensed contractor who installs it is part of that path rather than another stop on top of it.
Fewer parties sit between the factory and your house. That is the whole claim. It is a fact about how the window gets to you, not a promise about a number, and the licensed installer gives you the actual price at the appointment.
The usual path
Each stop is its own business, and each adds its own margin.
Factory direct
The contractor who installs it is part of the path, not a stop on top of it.
The product
Built for your opening, not for a shelf
These windows are not pulled from stock. Each one is manufactured to the measurements of the specific opening it goes into.
That one fact explains two things about how this works. A measure appointment has to happen, because the window is built from those measurements. And no real price can be quoted over the phone or on a website, because until the opening is measured there is nothing exact to price.
The windows are manufactured in Utah. They are built here, not shipped in from out of state.
What a modern replacement window is
Two panes of glass sealed around an insulating space, one surface coated to reflect heat, all of it held in a frame of hollow vinyl chambers. The section below is the whole product, part by part.

The window, whole
Two panes of glass sealed around an insulating space, one surface coated to reflect heat, all of it held in a frame of hollow vinyl chambers.
The frame
The vinyl frame is not solid. It is divided into sealed hollow chambers, and every chamber wall is another surface heat has to cross.
The sealed edge
A rigid spacer holds the panes apart at the edge and closes the insulating space, and the beads inside it absorb any moisture left in the air when it was sealed.
The space between the panes is sealed at the factory, and that trapped layer slows heat moving through the glass.
Outer pane
The outside sheet of glass, the first layer between the weather and your home.

- Outer pane The outside sheet of glass, the first layer between the weather and your home.
- Coated surface A thin coating on the glass reflects radiant heat back toward where it came from.
- Sealed insulating space The space between the panes is sealed at the factory, and that trapped layer slows heat moving through the glass.
- Spacer A rigid spacer holds the panes apart at the edge and closes the insulating space, and the beads inside it absorb any moisture left in the air when it was sealed.
- Inner pane The inside sheet of glass, the one that faces the room.
- Multi-chambered frame The vinyl frame is not solid. It is divided into sealed hollow chambers, and every chamber wall is another surface heat has to cross.
- Weather seal A flexible seal runs where the moving parts of the window meet the frame, closing the gap against drafts and water.
The warranty
The windows carry a manufacturer warranty. The installer puts the written terms in front of you at the appointment, and those written terms are the warranty. We are not the warrantor, so you will not find a summary of someone else's coverage here.
The installation
An established, licensed installer measures the opening, has the window built to it, and does the work. Your contract for the installation is with that licensed installer, and the installer gives you the price.
Step by step
What actually happens, start to finish
-
You tell us about the home
Through the form on this page, or on the phone. We ask for the address, how many windows are involved, and roughly how old they are.
-
Someone calls to set a time
The call confirms the details you gave us and finds a time that works for you. Nothing is decided on it.
-
A measure technician comes out
The technician measures the windows from the outside, walks you through the options, and confirms whether your windows qualify for a current program. That answer comes at the appointment, and it can be no. The measure costs nothing either way. Nobody needs an answer that day.
-
You get real numbers to look at
Written pricing and options, from the licensed installer who would do the work. You keep them. There is nothing to sign at the appointment.
-
You decide on your own timeline
This year, next year, or not at all. If you do move forward, the installer schedules the work. Installation scheduling is seasonal in Utah, so the time of year affects how soon a slot is available.

Questions people actually ask
Before you keep the appointment
Who is Utah Factory Direct?
Utah Factory Direct LLC is a Utah limited liability company registered with the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code under entity number 14734326-0160. Our business address is 1 Prospector Dr, Park City, UT 84060. We connect Utah homeowners with established, licensed window installers. We take the request, confirm the details, and schedule the measure. The installer does the work.
Are you the company that installs the windows?
No. We are not a licensed contractor, we do not manufacture windows, and we do not install them. An established, licensed installer does the measurement, the quote, and the work. If you move forward, your contract for that work is with the installer, not with us.
How did you get my information?
Most of the homeowners we reach previously requested information about home improvement or window replacement, and that information was provided to us. That request may have been a while ago, which is why a call can feel like it came out of nowhere.
Anyone can ask to be removed, and you do not have to give a reason. Email support@utahfactorydirect.com with the phone number or address you want removed, or read the Do Not Call and Contact Preferences page for the full process.
What happens at the appointment?
A measure technician confirms whether your windows qualify for a current program, measures the windows from the outside, and walks you through options and pricing. You keep the numbers. There is nothing to sign and nothing to decide while the technician is there.
How long does it take?
The exterior measurement is the quick part. The rest of the visit is the technician walking you through options and pricing, and that part goes at your pace.
If what you are actually asking is whether you are going to lose your evening to a high-pressure pitch: there is nothing to sign at the appointment, nobody needs an answer that day, and the numbers are yours to keep and think about on your own time. There is no decision to make while the technician is there.
Am I obligated to buy anything?
No. The measure and the quote cost nothing and carry no obligation. Plenty of homeowners take the numbers and sit on them for a season or longer. That is a normal outcome, not a failed appointment.
What areas do you serve?
Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber, and Summit counties. The service area section above lists the cities inside each one. We do not work outside those five counties.
Where are you located?
1 Prospector Dr, Park City, UT 84060. That is a business address, not a showroom. There is nothing to walk into and nothing to come look at. The measurement happens at your house.
Ready when you are
Ask for a measure and quote
Someone will call to confirm the address and the window count, then find a time that works. Whether your windows qualify for a current program is confirmed by the technician at the appointment.
The measure and the quote cost nothing and carry no obligation. Whether you replace windows this year, next year, or not at all is your call and your timeline. Prefer to write instead? Email support@utahfactorydirect.com.
